Superclans
We care a lot about families and about family business success across the world and for this we have a special project called Superclans, inspired from Asian terminology. We believe that in an age of polycrisis and permacrisis family business face their greatest stress test in decades. In this key time for reinvention there is a new Playbook for Globally Amibitious Family Business. Superclans need to rethink their strategy, sucession and storytelling.
While respecting tradition and continuity, most family businesses have undergone significant change over the past 30 years alongside most of the economy. We are trusted advisers for CEOs or boards of global family business as well as more generally for C-Suites in ambitious SMEs or in global multinationals. We have developed a specially-designed training for such ambitious global operators which is based on our study of successful global family businesses. This knowledge is meant to strengthen the information, influence and image of CEOs managing global operations.
Our professional training does not replace intelligence or character, nor does it suffice in the absence of previous generations’ advice and guidance. It does however allow for new generations of family business leaders as well as other global business CEOs to confront the new business environment armed with the skill set needed to cross it with the same success as those who used the Third Wave of Globalization to take a national / local family business and turn it into a thriving international operation.
Smartlink Communications, run by Radu Magdin and hopefully continued one day by a next-generation in a Romanian global consultancy superclan, is one of the most globalised Romanian companies, a typical ambitious Central European Mittelstand. You can read Radu's articles on global family businesses in a variety of global media while most of them are centralised with Forbes Business Councils as well as the dossier on global family business powered by European Business Review.
